Reverend Jacqueline Lasahn: Personal, meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies

Tibetan bells with liliesLosing a loved one is one of the hardest things in life.  A memorial service honors their memory and allows us to acknowledge who they were in our lives. It is an opportunity for family and friends to gather  and remember their loved one while offering support and comfort to one another. It helps us to have closure and accept our grief and loss. It is a profound celebration of love and life.

I can help you through this tough time.  I will meet with family members and/or friends to learn and listen about your loved one in order write a personalized eulogy. Together we co-create a personal and meaningful tribute. The ceremony will reflect love, respect and compassion whether at a funeral home, private home, graveside or venue of your choice. I have no religious agenda, I honor all faiths, traditions or simply non-religious. I am your representative. My intention is to provide a beautiful and memorable service.

A reverent tribute...it was so much more than a goodbye to Mom. I 'got it' that the ceremony was for the people left behind. It was such a precious time not to rush - the lovely sound of the Tibetan bowls surrounded us as I contemplated my Mother. The prayer flags were another meaningful part of the memorial.

How do we comprehend the bridge between here and there? When she rang the bells, it opened my heart to the infinite. This is what I needed. The ceremony brought me a completion that honored the end of my Mother's life.
